The Wrap Dress

Dress: J Crew | Shoes: J Crew | Earrings: Loft (Similar) | Purse: Amazon

I saw these wrap dresses and I wanted to try one. Here is the thing, I am big busted and not just that, but I am a curvy girl. So, I have stayed away from them. Then I saw this one on the internet and I decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised by the look of it. I know that it emphasized certain body parts and made me want to never look at carbs again, but I also think it looked better on than I had anticipated.

When we women are larger busted and just curvier in general, we tend to want to wear bigger clothing. We are trying not to “show” too much, so we opt for these clothes that cover us. The bad thing about these is that many times they make us look ten times bigger than we are. You mainly see women who are super thin with no curves in these dresses. While they do look good on them, there is no reason why a woman with curves can’t sport them either and look just as good.

So, when I got this dress. When I placed the order, when I put it on and when I decided to wear it out in public. I basically conquered a fear. I conquered a fear that I could not wear a dress like this and look good and I conquered a fear that wearing something with a wrap to it, something that completely accentuated my bust, was okay. While I did go and pick out my flaws in these pics and did run to the store and buy a great deal of healthy items to shed those impossible ten pounds, I also did realize that I could wear this dress and wear it with pride.

I love these dresses and feel that they look great with a cute pair of wedges. If you live somewhere that has cool summer nights, how great will this look with a denim jacket? You can add great accessories and just have so much fun with them. They also come in a variety of lengths from mini to midi to long. Whatever you want! Below are some of my favorite wrap dresses on the internet right now:
