Styling Ideas for an Oversized Sweater Dress

Imagine putting on a piece of clothing that is so comfy, you don’t want to take it off. And I am not talking about yoga pants! You put on this piece of clothing and it is oversized and made of the softest fabric. It is cuddly and makes you feel like you are wrapped in a warm, fuzzy blanket all day long. That is what wearing an oversized sweater dress is like.

I love this oversized sweater dress. I bought it in December for the holidays and was so excited to get it and have a piece of red clothing to ring in the Christmas season. This dress is also so fun to style. I have it styled here with my trusty Spanx leggings. I love it with leggings. I decided to dress it up and so I added fun heels, a brooch, and this cute silver satchel. I like this look for a dressier occasion.

If you want to go casual, you sure can style this oversized sweater dress that way as well. I can wear it without any leggings, you know bare-legged, and wear some booties and cool coat, like a leopard print fur or a teddy bear coat. You could even wear hose, like a sheer and pair it with knee-high boots. Those are more casual looks.

To go even more casual, toss on the sneakers. You can also get a fun tote and a hair scarf and you are ready for a fun day of running errands around town. This is even a more comfortable look that you can sit and read your magazines in with that awesome cup of coffee.

An oversized sweater dress is something that is fun to add to your wardrobe. You can dress it up or down and it is acceptable. There are so many styling options that you can use to change the look of it and most people would never know it was the same dress!
