Waiting on God's Timing for your Success

Waiting on God’s timing for success can be super hard. You see, I feel as if I am always waiting on God’s timing for certain things, you know, those things you keep waiting and waiting for, but I never thought about waiting on God’s time for success. So, Let’s rewind a bit and take a better look at what I am talking about.

I made the announcement, I set up the website, I hired the photographer, I was ready. I was ready to start this fashion blog for women over 40. I just knew it was going to be a success, I mean how many bloggers out there are for the over 40 age, and how many have my great fashion sense??? I wasn’t named Best Dressed for nothing!

I set up my social profiles, got back my first batch of pictures, posted them, and……. crickets. Yes, you heard me, crickets. Well, not exactly crickets, I did get some love, but after I posted picture after picture, things were not happening like I thought they would. As a matter of fact, they were pretty much crawling.

Waiting on God's Timing for your Success

I wanted success in my blog and I wanted it yesterday, but that was not happening. I wanted to quit my teaching job and do this full-time, but that was not happening. As a matter of fact, everyone I talked to that was in the business told me it would take around 3-5 years to get that kind of success!

I got frustrated and stressed and had no idea what to do. I wasn’t going to give up. And then I started thinking about God’s timing. You see God’s timing is a tricky little thing. We want to control things, we want them to happen when we want them. Ugh!!! Do you mean I have to pray for God’s timing even with my blog??!!!

Waiting on God's Timing for your Success

Yes, I have to pray for God’s timing in the success of my blog. I have to figure out what I need to do in order to stand out. I have to trust that when the time is right, it will all come to me. In God’s timing, I might even be able to say this is my full-time job. God wants us to trust Him in all things. Every. single. thing of our lives. When we wait on God’s timing, we can expect to get the best He has for us.

Isaiah 60:22 says, “When the time is right, I, the Lord will make it happen.” When the time is right is the key phrase here. Not when we think the time is right, but when God thinks the time is right. When we try to make things happen outside of God’s timing, they rarely work out. As a matter of fact, my experience is that they crash and burn.

If you are trying to start a business, waiting on a promotion, wanting to start a blog even, you have to trust God’s timing in your success. You have to trust that there are things He does not know and when the path is clear for that success to happen, not one single thing can stop it.

Let me know what you are waiting on God for and let’s support each other in prayer!

Later!

Kara
