The Book Club Hotel

Book Club Hotel Review

Can you imagine having a book club and the meetings turn into a holiday? Well, that is exactly what happens in The Book Club Hotel. Three lifelong friends have a book club. Each year, they meet somewhere and it is the perfect getaway. This year is a little different.

Erica, Claudia, and Anna meet every year for their fantastic book club meetings. Erica has a great job that has fantastic perks. She even has a convenient relationship with Jack, who is her plus-one for all events and everything else she might need. Claudia just got laid off from her job as a chef and her boyfriend of 10 years decided to leave her for a 25-year-old. And then there is Anna. Anna has the perfect husband who worships the ground she walks on, the perfect house, and the perfect children who are getting ready to leave for college. She feels that she is at a crossroads as she looks at her future as an empty nester.

Book club this year is going to take place somewhere different. Instead of meeting during the summer, they meet in December at the Maple Sugar Inn in Vermont. When they arrive in this quaint town and enter this charming inn, it is love at first sight. They feel as though they have stepped right into the perfect Hallmark movie. Enter the owner of the inn, Hattie who had lost her husband two years before and is alone in raising her daughter and taking care of the inn which was mainly her husband’s dream.

As the week goes on, all four women come to terms with different aspects of their lives and resolve the issues that have been forming in their lives. And, there is a big secret that comes out and turns a couple of their lives upside down, but in a good way.

If you are looking for the perfect book to take you away this holiday season, this is the one for you. Grab your favorite blanket, light your favorite candle, grab that hot chocolate and curl up, and start reading this book today. It will definitely help you to get into the holiday spirit and leave you with a good feeling.
