Statement Shoes Add So Much To An Outfit

I posted these shoes before for everyone to check out. I know that they are different, but they are definitely a statement shoe. The thing I like about statement shoes is that they can do so much for a simple outfit. Take the tee and jeans above. What a basic outfit! Then you add some cool earrings and shoes and you have created a completely different look, it might even be considered dressy!

I love the dress in the second outfit. I got it last year from Target, so it is not available, but I am linking some similar ones that would look perfect with these shoes. They have a wedge heel, so they are not too high and they are super comfy. They fit so good and I feel that even those this dress is not as simple, the shoes add a great deal.

Here is the deal, I was going to wear these outfits, take some mirror selfies and post the pics. I am having some issues learning how to take these mirror selfies, so hopefully I will practice, and they will get better. I am also having an issue with the ten pounds I cannot get rid of!!! Ugh!!! Once you hit 40 ladies, it is so freaking hard. So, I am going to really cut back on eating like a teenager and do better. I am going to post some recipes that I discover and use each week to hopefully help others that are in the same boat! I am also part of a challenge with my gym, so hopefully that will help me with the exercise part.

This has been a long week for some reason, so I am kind of ready for it to be over and for me to have some pool time. I love to go to the pool and just relax during the summer. I will take a great book and read it and just soak up the sun and wear my 50 SPF of course!! What is your favorite thing to do if you have pool time???
