My Dillard’s Sale Shoe Finds

Today was one of just many of the huge after Christmas sales, but this one from Dillard’s is the best on New Years Day. This is a one day sale only and they have them periodically at the end of a season. The items have been marked down, but you can take an extra 50% off all permanently reduced merchandise.  This generally refers to clearance items. The racks are marked so as to avoid confusion. This is such a great deal. There are brands that Dillard’s is home to such as Giani Binni, Antonio Melani, Daniel Cremieux, just to name a few. These are great lines that are high quality clothing and usually have a pretty expensive price tag. That is why this sale is so great because these items that have already been marked down are even lower. There were even some Spring and Summer 2017 items that were selling for practically nothing. For example there was a Giani Binni dress that was regularly $159, after all of the markdowns it was $49, now take an additional 50% off that and you are paying around $25 for this dress! Exciting, I know!!!

I did not go into the store today. My school, Auburn University, played in a bowl game today and it was at 11:30 AM. I could have gotten up and been there when the doors opened at 9:00 AM, but I had too many things to take care of, so I opted for the online sale. This started at 12:01 AM New Years Day and it was CST. So, I went to Dillard’s and looked at what I wanted, put them on my wish list and counted down until the sale started. I had gone online and read that the site had crashed in previous years, so I did not want to be affected, that is why I put the items I wanted on my wish list.

After I welcomed in the New Year, I hit the computer. I transferred my shoes to my bag and the site had crashed when I went to checkout. I tried again, no luck, after 15 minutes of trying, I was able to get the dressier pairs of shoes, but the tennis shoes I had originally picked out were gone. I decided to go ahead and get the shoes that were not sold out and go back in for the tennis shoes when I was done.

The first pair I got were the Sam Edelman shoes with the pink puff on them. I love these shoes and think they are super fun. You guys should know that because I wear my black ones all of the time. I saw these pink ones and since they were on sale, I knew they would be a great addition. They are regularly priced at $130 and I got them for $38.99. So, even if these shoes are just a cute trend, I am not out a large amount of money on them. They also come in a chocolate brown, which is really nice and Sam Edelman is just such a quality shoe all around.

The next pair are the tapestry ones. They from a brand called 1.State. I have never owned anything from this brand, but have just been made aware of it because I have seen some shoes that I liked and they were from this brand. I saw these in the sale selection and thought they were different and would be a nice touch to that perfect outfit. These were originally $97.99 and I got them for $29.40. I like the block heel, it is more comfortable if you are wearing them for a long period of time. I am excited to get these and let you know just what I think about this new brand.

The athletic shoes I had a challenge with. You see, they had marked their athletic shoes way down, so most pairs with the deduction were between $25 and $30. These are shoes that are regularly over $100. The first pair I had put in my cart were sold out when I went to check out, but with much persistence, I found a pair I liked in a color I liked for $29.99. These are New Balance, which I prefer, and they usually retail for between $100 and $175. They are the most comfortable for running and for walking also.

I focused mainly on shoes for this sale. I have a large amount of clothes and even got some at other sales, so I wanted to add some shoes to my wardrobe. I am excited with what I got and can’t wait to show them to you with some cool outfits on the blog.
