Buffalo Ranch Popcorn
I absolutely love popcorn. I mean, I love it! It does not matter what event I am at, that is my number one go-to at the snack bar. Auburn football, Auburn basketball, the movies, popcorn is my go-to snack. I do not want anyone trying to tell me how fattening it is or how bad it is, because in my mind it is a better choice than so many other things.
Since I hit the age of 40, I do try to have healthier snacks around and that includes popcorn. Yes, I like to get the low fat for the microwave or the bags of Skinny Pop. However, my most favorite thing to do is get my old, trusty air popper and pop it up in there! I actually love it just popped and with some sea salt on it. That is my favorite. I even like it with some hot sauce on it. So when I discovered this recipe for Buffalo Ranch Popcorn, I knew I had to try it. Now, let me go ahead and tell you, it is not the healthiest due to the butter. But I am sure you can find some type of substitute that will work just as fine.
Here is the recipe:
One packet of dry ranch dressing mix
One stick of butter
1/4 C Franks Hot Sauce
As much popped corn as you want!!!
I melt the butter, then add the ranch dressing and mix. Once that is mixed good, I add the buffalo sauce. Once it is mixed completely, I pour over the popcorn and enjoy!
This does make the popcorn a little spicy, so you could use less hot sauce if you wanted, and instead of a stick of butter, you could use a half stick. Just play around with it until you get it the way you want it! Let me know what some of your other flavorings are for popcorn!
