Pink, Pink and more Pink!
Shoes: Antonio Melani | Dress: Topshop (Similar)
I love the one shoulder-asymmetrical look of tops and dresses. I think I like it because when it is a complete off the shoulder or strapless, I am constantly pulling it up and tugging on it. The off the shoulder never really stays off the shoulder and if you are blessed with any hint of a bust, the strapless can be hard to pull off and keep up!
This look was popular several years ago and I liked it then. I even remember watching “Keeping up with the Kardashians” one night and they were in their store doing some merchandising and one of them said, “Don’t you think the one shoulder look is so last year?” Little did they know, that one shoulder look might have been so last year, but pretty much the year after that aired it came back and never left. I, personally, am glad because it is one of my favorites.
I got this dress last year and it is Topshop. Unfortunately, it is not available. I have linked several other one shoulder styles I like below. I like Topshop so much. The brand is from England and I remember when you could not get it over here in the States. I would see celebrities with these cute outfits and they would say they were wearing Topshop and I would hit the internet to check the styles out. All of a sudden, the clothes have been showing up in retailers all over the US, including Nordstrom, which is where I discovered them. I love the fit of Topshop. I will say this is a large, which is my size, but in this particular style, I could have sized down. So, I suggest keeping that in mind when shopping this brand.
These shoes!!! I love a statement shoe! It can do so much for a simple outfit. We often talk about statement jewelry, but what about a statement shoe???? I love these and because they zip up the back, I never have to worry about the strap sliding on my ankle. The rose gold color is perfect to go with most anything and the sparkles are not too much. These will definitely be worn with other outfits, such as jeans or more casual dresses to give a more simple look some much needed pizazz. These are from Antonio Melani and this brand does not disappoint. It might be a little more costly, but the quality is perfection!
How has everyone’s week been? Mine has been hectic, but I think things are going to slow down until August. So, I am kind of looking forward to having a couple of months off to focus on my blog and other more important issues in my life. I hope that everyone is ready for the weekend. What are your fun plans for Mother’s day????
Off the Shoulder Dress I Love!!!
Love the look!! Very prettty & easier to keep on than a strapless!!!
