Work from home chat agent jobs

Looking at your phone as it rings and not knowing the number can only mean one thing, it is a telemarketer. Ugh!! Now, I try to have sympathy for these people. They are trying to earn a good living doing a job, let’s face it, no one wants to do. It can be hard for them and it is a pain for us to see these numbers pop up on our screens.

Not only are there telemarketer jobs on the phone, but there are also customer service jobs. You know, you have a problem and you call in and pretty much spend the day on the phone just trying to get someone who understands the problem you are trying to solve.

While both of these tend to have flexible schedules, they can be exhausting. You have to deal with all types of customers and personalities and it can just be downright draining! Until now, there is a new type of customer service job available, a chat agent. Have you ever been to a website and a chat pops up?? That is what a chat agent is. You try to help the person through a chat on your computer. There is no calling or talking to anyone and there are flexible hours!

Here is a list of 10 I found for you to check out:

1 – Concentrix – Basic to complex technical support; pays around $10-$12 per hour

2 – Guitar Center – Must love music and helping people; GED minimum education; 2 years of experience; able to type at least 30 WPM

3 – Live Chat – Need to type at least 40 WPM; must have a perfect command of the English language

4 – Live World – Perform tasks like social media moderation, customer service, engagement, and monitoring; need at least 2-3 years experience in online moderating; strong typing skills

5 – Mod Squad – Moderate content, chat with customers, manage communities, check for bugs, and update social media

6 – Needle – Help customers find the right products

7 – Outplex – Able to type 30-50 WPM with zero errors; high school diploma and windows operating system

8 – SITE123 – Need to understand website builder field; need to have proven experience in sales and customer service

9 – Site Staff – Must be based in the US and have a college education; need to type 65-75 + WPM

10 – Uber – Weekend and weekly evening shifts required; solid writing skills

Conclusion

These opportunities will start to pop up more and more as the shift to online continues. If you are ever online, check out to see if one of your favorite shopping sites has a chat agent. This can be a way for you to get your foot in the door with a company like that.

I would love to hear if you have ever had a job like this? If you are looking for something else, let me know!

Later!
