Swirl and Sparkle

I love makeup brushes so much. They just do what they need to do in terms of applying my makeup. I cannot even believe that I used the sponges that come with eyeshadow to apply my eye makeup. What was I thinking??!! The only problem with brushes is that they need to be cleaned, because they get so dirty!

I have the dirtiest makeup brushes, I swear! I have bought so many different cleaners only to be less than enthused. I have gotten tips from other beauty bloggers about what to use and to be honest, they just did not work. So, yes my brushes are completely filthy! Not good, I know!

I was asked if I would try Swirl and Sparkle and post about it. I was intrigued when I first heard about it. A friend of the creator posted that her friend was trying to get the word out about her new makeup brush cleaner. She gave us the Instagram name and told us to DM her. I did and anxiously awaited the product.

When I received it, I had no idea how good this would be.  I opened up this precious gold tin and saw the roses on the inside. My favorite flower! It was too pretty to use. Then I thought about how I needed to try this. I needed to see if this product worked as good as it looked. I got a glass of water and my dirtiest brush, my foundation brush and began my test. This brush was so caked with foundation,  the bristles were almost stuck together. It needed to be cleaned so bad! I followed the directions. I moistened the product with a little water and began to swirl my brush.

As I began to swirl, you can see from the above picture, just what was happening. It was removing the makeup, completely. I kept swirling, I even rinsed in my glass of water and swirled some more. I did this until my brush was completely clean to my naked eye. Just look at how dirty that water is!!! It only took a couple of minutes to get this done. The roses are not just for looks, no, they are an agitator that helps to loosen all of the gunk from the bristles. If you have some really stubborn brushes, the lid also has a diamond on it that is made for even tougher makeup.

After I felt it was clean, I let it air dry and it was dry in no time. I have cleaned my brushes before and it felt like it took an eternity for them to dry, but not with this cleaner. It was literally a couple of hours and they were dry. Perfect for cleaning them at night and then letting them dry and waking up to clean, dry brushes!

This product is just so awesome and it is vegan! It comes in some yummy scents and several different designs. I cannot tell you how excited I am to tackle all of my makeup brushes and even beauty blenders and get them clean with this product!
