I know that I have said it before, but I just love a cute dress for spring/summer. It gets so hot here in Alabama and a dress is the perfect thing to stay cool. Cute little shift dresses are so easy and you can always dress them up or down with accessories.
When I saw this dress, I just knew I had to have it. I love the lace detail on the front and the flutter sleeves just make it so precious! It is made of cotton and just breathes so well in the heat. It is perfect for a hot summer in Alabama. This color reminds me of spring flowers, hydrangeas to be exact! I got it from Loft and the fit is a little large. You might be able to size down, which is why you should either order both sizes and ship the one back that doesn’t fit or try both on in the store. There is absolutely no stretch in the material, so keep that in mind. It is 40% off right now, which makes it a perfect deal!
These shoes!!! Last year, Hermes came out with these great sandals and the dupes were created by a company overseas. I did not get them, but have always had my eye on them. Then, I saw these from Steve Madden and I was so excited. I immediately sought them out to add them to my wardrobe! I love these and they come in four different colors. I wanted the rose gold, because I wear so much that could go with this color, I thought I would get a lot of wear out of it. I do have a wide foot at the front and these are real leather, which means eventually they will stretch out some, but right now, they are a little snug! Keep that in mind, because they are almost a little uncomfortable!
This purse is my favorite new addition to my wardrobe for the spring/summer. I have been in love with the look of the round straw bag since I first saw other fashion bloggers post it. I really did not see one that I liked that was reasonably priced and so I decided to try Etsy. That is where I found this one and it is inexpensive and perfect for me! I added the scarf to it for a little pizazz. I got the scarf from Loft, but they are sold out. Ann Taylor has a few that are perfect for adding a little something special to your wardrobe! A scarf is like a statement earring or necklace and can give just the right amount of pop to your outfit! My last accessories are my watch and bracelet and earrings. The bracelet and earrings are from J Crew. The earrings I have on are no longer available, but J Crew has a few tortoise pairs available that are just as stylish. The bracelet is not available any more either. I found one similar at Nordstrom’s, so be sure to check it out. Lastly is my watch. This watch is from Toy, which no longer exists! I got it when the Blind Side movie came out and everyone fell in love with Sandra Bullock’s watch. Other companies still have a similar look available and I found this one from Puegeot.
I bet you could not tell I was 30 minutes late to getting these pictures taken. I was so stressed out! I had just backed into my neighbor’s car! My first accident ever! It did basically nothing to my car, but sure bashed hers in. I was backing out of my driveway and just did not see her car and backed right into it! Ugh!!! I was so frazzled by the time I got to this shoot, I did not know what I was doing! Has anything like that ever happened to you? Anyway, I hope that everyone has had a great Monday!
