Crossstitch on a top, why yes of course!

I love off the shoulder tops so much. They are just so perfect for when the weather is hot. I probably have quite a few in my wardrobe. When I was shopping and saw this one, I just knew I had to have it. The design on it is just so delicate and to top it off, it is crossstitch!! A little known fact, I am a huge sewing nerd!!! I majored in Fashion and got my Master’s degree in Home Economics, so that is how it began. I used to be able to get patterns and put a couple together to make something I liked and I would also create my own designs. I just loved doing that! I had my mom’s old Singer from like 1970 something and it worked, up until we got rid of it just a few years ago. Not only did I sew on the sewing machine, but I also did hand sewing like crossstitch and some other basic needlepoint. I would get a crossstitch pattern and get it ready and just work on it and work on it until it was completed. I used to love that so much, but times changed and I just don’t have the time to do it.
This top looks like something I would make if I had the pattern. The colors are just so delicate and there is so much you can do with it and so many colors you can pair with it. I opted for jeggings and found these great light blue ones at Walmart!!! I got it from one of their new brands and there were quite a few colors I need to go back and add to my wardrobe. The bag is an internet find and I love it. I had received a catalog for one of my favorite stores and they had a bag just like this in it for triple the price.
