Botox – My Experience
I am not someone who lies about things they have had done for beauty and/or weight loss. I have been asked how I lost my weight lately. What if I told you that my doctor put me on a medicine that completely killed my appetite for two months? I barely ate anything! Not that I am complaining, because if you know me, you know I don’t pass up many meals! But I just could not eat and that has just carried over and I really don’t eat like I used to. Now, there are days when I turn it out and eat whatever and how much I want to, but for the most part, I just do not eat and I am good with that!
So, when I had that first wrinkle on my forehead, I knew there had to be a solution. I was out having fun for my birthday and had quite a few pictures taken. The next day as I was going through the pics, all I saw on my forehead was a big wrinkle. I mean, that is all I saw! Now, most people would probably look at the picture and not see it, but I did and I knew it was time for a fix.
I started to research what I could do and I came across Botox. I read about it and it seemed harmless enough. There were many reports about how good it was. So, I found a place where I lived that gave it and I made my first appointment. When I made this appointment, they asked if I wanted numbing cream. I could only imagine how much these several little shots would hurt, so I said I wanted it.
I went in the day of my appointment and filled out my paperwork. The assistant came in and applied my numbing cream. I was to sit for about 30-45 minutes until it became numb. After about 30 minutes, the assistant came in and tested me and I was clearly numb. In came the doctor with the syringes full of this miracle drug. The drug that was going to make me look young again! I could not feel a thing and in about 10 minutes it was done. I was given instructions not to touch the area, bend over or even lay flat for 4 hours, while it sets. After 4 hours, I could be gentle with it, but really need to be careful for about 12 hours. If I was not careful, I could have eye droop, which quite honestly, nothing can be done for. I was also told my miracle would take place in about 5-7 days.
I was super cautious when I got home, I don’t think I even took my makeup off because I was so worried. I woke up the next day and began staring at my forehead every chance I got. I was constantly looking in the mirror and checking my forehead. Slowly, but surely, the wrinkle was gone. My forehead was as smooth as glass. I loved it. I was also addicted.
I usually get it every 6-8 months. I really probably could go a little longer, but I like to call this a preventative measure. I know that it sounds vain, but I like the way I look after. I have had fillers and other things done that are non-invasive as well. I highly recommend them if you have the money. I believe these are some inexpensive ways to make you feel better about yourself and take some of the aging away.
So today I went in for Botox. It has been about 8 months since my last treatment and I needed a full on treatment this time. I never have any bad side effects from Botox and rarely bruise. Oh and the numbing cream, I suck it up and don’t get it anymore because the pricks of the needle do not hardly hurt at all. Always check and make sure your doctor is properly qualified to give this. You don’t want to go to someone and have something horrible happen. Just remember to wait at least 4 hours, actually 12, until you full on even touch that area. I can promise you, if you have the money, Botox is something you will not regret getting, I know I don’t.
I’ like the look!!
