Academy Awards Party

There is nothing I love more than having a get together/party with my girlfriends. When I say nothing, I mean it. I will even invent occasions to have a party for. We are currently at the end of awards season and there could have been a party almost every week! So, I decided to show what I would have for an Academy Awards party, that would have been tonight if I had planned better.

Typically, I would focus on the styles of the Academy Awards. I would be glued to the red carpet just to catch a glimpse of one of the gorgeous dresses that would be talked about for months. I would research the designer and then get excited about the possible knock-offs that would come out. I mean let’s be honest, who can afford those designer gowns in real life!! I would just dream about the colors and the way the hair and makeup were styled. It was like a fantasy!

I would never give much thought to having a party, until now. I think having a party for anyone of the awards is a great idea. You can even go so far as to ask your friends to dress up in their best formal or cocktail attire. After all, we girls love any excuse to dress up and get pretty! I am going, to be honest, I really do not cook for these parties. There is so much that can be bought already made and/or you just pop out of the box and into the oven. So, why spend all day in the kitchen!!! I say this to point out that entertaining does not have to be hard and time-consuming. Entertaining can be simple, which means that you need to go ahead and throw that party!

These are just some of the things that I threw together for my Academy Awards party. I found the party items on Amazon and at Party City. I have linked them below and then for the food items, I found them at the local grocery store. I will link the Amazon products below also. It does not have to hard to entertain.
