What is this, Velvet????

As the seasons are changing, I don’t know how much more cold weather we will have exactly. It has been unseasonably warm and it does not seem to be changing any time soon. Of course, we can all depend on that cold snap to blow in, usually right after everything has bloomed and we have stored our winter clothing!

This past weekend, I spent my time organizing my closet and cleaning out my clothes. I hate that I hardly wear most of the clothes I buy because I work from home. Since I work from home, I mostly hang out all day in my workout clothes. I usually workout at lunch and then honestly, never change out of my clothes until later on in the day. I began to pull out items such as this velvet dress and I wondered how much longer I would be able to wear these items.

I know I have said this before and I have posted a lot of velvet, but I just love it. It is one of my favorite fabrics. I don’t know why, but I feel so regal when I wear velvet. I have so much in my closet and I pretty much add to the collection each year.

I like it because you can dress it up or down. You can toss on a velvet top with jeans or leggings and you have an everyday look. On the other hand, you can pair it with a sequin skirt or satin pants and you look like you are ready for a more formal event.

This dress was purchased from Target last year. I have linked below several other styles that are available right now. There are a couple that are similar to this, but other fun styles also. I highly suggest getting one and adding it to your wardrobe. You will probably get more wear out of it than you think!

I paired this dress with gold, but I honestly think you can pair velvet with anything, depending on the occasion and the look you are going for. Just use your imagination and you will be surprised what you come up with!

Today was President’s Day and I was off of one job, so I went and got my hair done! That was fun and something that was much needed!!! I always love to get my hair done, I just feel so fresh and ready to take on anything! I hope that everyone had a good day and look out for more posts this week!!!
