This spring weather has been so crazy! One day it was 80 and then all the way down to around 60. At night, I have even had to pull out the warm clothes. Today was no exception. I was freezing when these pics were taken.
I love pink and green together. Wearing pink with this dress was not the intention when I bought it. I got the dress from my favorite boutique Town and Key in Texas. They have a great online boutique that I follow on Instagram. I saw it and was just drawn to the style first. I am not someone who wears green that much, but something about this dress made me just want it. The flutter sleeves are precious and maybe that was the draw. It is from a company called Ces Femme, which specializes in boutique clothes.
I got the dress in and liked the green in it a lot. I love this dress, my only issue with it is that it has no stretch. Not one. single. bit. That is my biggest complaint of it. This day was not only cold, but it was one of those days. You know, one of those days when your carb intake caught up with you. I felt so bloated and there was no room to hide it in this dress. That made me self conscious and to be honest, wearing this was not a good experience. I do like it, just the fit is very juniors and therefore, there is no room for errors.
So, with that being said, while I like the look of the dress, not having any stretch is not my favorite quality. I got the dress out and was going to wear nude shoes with it and wear some nude tassel earrings, when I saw these hot pink earrings. I picked them up from Target from the brand A New Day and they are fantastic. They are so light and just did not hurt my ears at all. I then looked at my shoes and saw the hot pink slides and that was it for this outfit. The biggest negative about all of these things, none of them can be bought, except the earrings. Everything is older, but I have linked newer items, so be sure to check them out.
We decided before I even tried on the dress to have this shoot at Taco Mama in downtown Auburn. I love Mexican food and this place is fantastic. It has great chips with salsa, guacamole and cheese. The margaritas are great also. They have many different flavors like watermelon, pomegranate and jalapeno, just to name a few. The menu has a variety of items from nachos all the way to a gigantic burrito. There are even some bowls for the lighter fare. This place is packed most of the time and for good reason. If you are ever in a town that has one, I suggest you give it a try.
We all have good and bad days with our bodies, and this was not a good one. It was a bad one and of all days, the day I am going to take pics. I did decide to smile and take them anyway. I put on my spanx and sucked in my stomach. Maybe the next shoot will be better!
