I was still searching for fun gameday attire when I saw this dress on the rack and I was kind of iffy about it. I just didn’t know. I tried it on and liked it a lot! I saw myself wearing it with white skinny jeans and cute platforms or heels. When I was planning my gameday attire for my photo shoot, I decided to try this on and just see. Once I did and I accessorized it with my cute orange and blue accessories, I just knew this would be perfect for gameday.
This dress was purchased at a local boutique here in Auburn called Therapy. I have looked all over the web for this dress and cannot find it and the store does not have it listed on their website. It is from a company called Cozy Casual, so if you can find it online, I suggest ordering it. It does run a little large and I probably could have sized down. It is so roomy and is a linen, cotton blend fabric, so it breathes so well. I believe this dress is perfect for those super hot and sweaty games. It is light and airy and will not stick to you during those humid first game. I am wearing a large.
Stripes are such a great look this season and they don’t seem to be going anywhere any time soon. They can change the look of an outfit and you can bring in different colors to accessorize them. I love how they have that clean and pressed dress shirt look and they can be such a casual look also. It used to be that only super skinny people could wear stripes and look good, but times have changed and stripes can be worn by all different sizes and look straight up fabulous! I have a black and white striped dress and I like to mix it up by pairing red or hot pink accessories with it!! Love it!!!
The jewelry I have put with this particular outfit has a different story for each piece. For the bracelet, I got it from a fun jewelry party. It is handmade European jewelry, so there are no two pieces alike. I got this several years ago, so there are not any more like this, but I am linking to her site so you can check out what she has, Agent Antoinette. The ring is my favorite. I got it from Ross Simons. It is called a rough cut sapphire because it has not been refined down to the shiny stone we all know sapphires to be. You can still see the flaws in it. I love this ring so much!!!! Something about showing the flaws in the stone just let me know that flaws can still be beautiful. It too is several years old, but I have linked similar styles from Ross Simons.
This has been a crazy Monday! I just feel like work has been super crazy today!!! However, it is almost over!! I am getting ready to cook a new dish for dinner. Clean and naked eggplant parm. Be on the lookout, the recipe will be posted later this week!!!
