There are people who wish to work from home for an actual company. They want to work regular hours and get paid a regular paycheck. There are those who want to work from home, but they also want a flexible schedule. It can be hard to find both, but there is a way.
Being a virtual assistant is a super hot career path right now. There are virtual assistants in demand everywhere. If you are organized and have good computer skills, this could be the path for you. Another way to work as a virtual assistant is to start your own business. This is a way to have that flexible schedule and to work from any location in the world. There are so many people who are starting their own businesses and they need an assistant, so this is the perfect time for you to get started.
Now, I completely recommend taking a course to get started. I have the advice to give and I have some tips, but taking a course and getting advice from someone with a great deal of experience, is the perfect way to get started. Gina Horkey has a great course with lots of information to get you started. She has payment plans and they don’t cost a ton, but they will be an investment. Most businesses require huge start-up costs. A virtual assistant does not, so take a look at this course as an investment into your business! And you can get started in 30 days or less!
Here are three ways to get started with your business also:
1 – create a website with the services you will offer. There is plenty of services you can offer and know what you will offer will get you off on the right foot. A website is a low cost! You can look at wordpress.org and get started for as little as $3.95/month.
2 – get ready to sell yourself and find clients. You can start by joining Facebook pages for bloggers and writers and other freelance jobs. There you can find people who will request virtual assistant services and you can reach out to them. You can also network in your community. There are so many places to find these jobs, it won’t take long until you are on your overloaded with work, but it will take effort, so get ready to do that.
3 – decide what you will and will not do and the hours you will dedicate. You don’t want to be so overworked that you get burned out. That defeats the purpose of starting this business. So set realistic guidelines and boundaries with your business and stick to them.
A virtual assistant is possibly one of the best and easiest businesses to start. With minimal investment and some motivation, you can get started within 30 days and start making money. Think about working while on vacation, think about paying off debt. There are so many upsides to starting a virtual business, if you are even remotely interested, check out the Gina Horkey class and get started today!
