I don’t know if I have told you this or not, but I work mainly from home. Besides blogging, I teach online. So, I am going to be real honest here and say that me getting dressed does not happen some days. Not that I stay in my pajamas or anything like that, but I will wear my workout clothes all day long! Even after I have been sweating in them, I will not change out of them until later on in the day or that evening.

So when athleisure became popular, I was excited. Now, I can put on my athleisure and if I need to run out or even head over to a meeting outside of my house, I can look somewhat presentable. You can find it anywhere now also. Pretty much any store you walk into has these comfy clothes that you can wear to workout and also to the store!

Now, as great as these clothes are, they are so dangerous. I mean almost deadly!!! How can clothes like this be so comfortable and deadly at the same time? Because they run a little larger. Since they run a little larger, you can gain weight and not even notice!! The first year I worked from home, I packed it on. I did not really know how to handle my days, so I would walk in and out of the kitchen and wear my athleisure all day and just eat and work out and work and eat some more. It was bad. Then one night I was getting ready to go out and my pants barely fit!!! I had gained weight and it just seemed to jump on my body. So I have made a pact with myself, that I have to get dressed more often just to keep myself in check.

This outfit has two great pieces in it. The poncho is nothing short of fantastic. It is from a company called Illuminative. This is one of those that holds the party in your house. Before you cringe, this poncho is the softest and most fantastic thing I have put on my body. It is like wearing your favorite blanket!!! And there are a few statements to pick from that are on each piece of clothing. I picked I am Healed. Now, I have not been healed of anything physically, but maybe mentally I have been healed from some things. Each piece of clothing has its own statement, so be sure to head over to the website to check out what they have. There is not a lot, but that is okay, because there are some staples that can be added to your wardrobe.

These shoes!!! These are a hot new look in tennis shoes, called wedge sneakers. I love these!! Comfortable does not even begin to define how they feel on my feet. I got these with the fur for the winter months, but you can rest assure I will be getting some plain ones for the warmer weather.

I hope that everyone is having a great week. It has been a weird week, but not bad. Extremely busy, but overall some pleasant surprises. I honestly cannot believe how long January seems to be!! But I don’t want to wish my life away. It will be over soon enough and pretty soon I will be writing on here about the humidity and my hair again!!!
