How to get the Perfect Manicure At Home
I love getting my nails done or should I say having them done and looking good. Nothing makes me feel more put together than having my nails look perfectly manicured without a chip in sight! This time of quarantine has had me checking out various ways to do manicures at home. I was gifted this press-on manicure from Impress nails and decided it would be worth a try.
I did a lot of research because I know that the glue on these press-on nails does not seem to last very long. I will be happy to say that after some work and research, I am going on one week of having these nails!!! So, I am going to share my at-home manicure with you!
Step 1: – Prepare the cuticles with a good cuticle remover. I love this one from Sally Hansen. You simply put it on your nails, let set and you are good to go!
Step 2 – Push cuticles back with wooden stick, then rinse nails off
Step 3 – File and shape nails down
Step 4 – Wipe nails down with included alcohol wipe and try not to touch them again
Step 5 – Get the tips out and determine which ones will fit which nail. I use a little nail glue prior to applying them to help them stay a little longer. I get the tip for the nail, pull off the tab, apply the glue to the nail, you can apply it to the fake nail or your nail, your choice, and press on.
That is it! Then I am done and ready to go! I have enjoyed doing my own nails! Making time for manicures just seems to get in the way and then I am frustrated about the time I just spent and could not multi-task! These have been great and I will keep you posted as to how long they last! I am hoping to get at least 14 good days!
Let me know if you try these and what you think!
